The monthly rate increases for what is banned: Sindh High Court

In Sindh High Court, in the case of poor investigation by the police and non-arrest of the accused in various cases, Justice Amjad Ali Sohto remarked that the monthly rate of what is ordered to be banned increases.

In the hearing, Additional IG Javed Alam Odhu appeared in the court on the order of the court. The court expressed its indignation and remarked that after registering the police case, recovery of the stolen property, timely identification of the arrested accused should also be ensured. Registering the case and not following the prescribed procedure has the benefit of the accused.

Additional IG Karachi Javed Alam Odhu told the court that he was appointed two days ago, efforts will be made to arrest the fugitive accused.

Justice Amjad Ali Sohto remarked that the monthly rate of whatever is ordered to be banned, the monthly rate of it increases. The monthly rate of the police has increased even after the ban was ordered, the police is only engaged in collecting money from the people involved in illegal activities.

The court remarked that after registering the case, the accused are declared fugitives instead of being arrested and challans are submitted. 10 cases have come to light, now release the accused involved in these cases or keep the innocent in jail?

The court adjourned the hearing on the Karachi Police Chief's assurance to the court to improve the performance of the police, arrest the accused and improve the quality of investigation.
