Rawalpindi: The flood warning system of the Meteorological Department was stolen by thieves
In Rawalpindi, the meteorological department's flood warning system was stolen.
A flood early warning system was installed at Nala Lai Katarian. Solar panels and sensors were also stolen along with the flood early warning system.
Batteries and cables attached to the early warning system were also stolen.
Newtown police station has registered a case of theft of meteorological department system. The case has been registered against the electronic engineer of meteorological department.
According to the text of the FIR, the thieves broke the locks and took away valuable batteries, solar plates, copper cables, boards and boxes.
It should be noted that the system installed for early notification of flood situation was ordered from Japan.
