Pakistan and Tajikistan sign visa waiver agreement
Dushanbe: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says that Pakistan and Tajikistan have signed an agreement to exempt passport from visa.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while holding a joint press conference with Tajik President Imam Ali Rehman, said that the signing of the memorandum of understanding will lead to the strengthening of bilateral relations, and the signing of agreements between the two countries will open new avenues of cooperation.
Shahbaz Sharif said that China is willing to be a part of trade corridor between Tajikistan and Afghanistan, agriculture. Will work for promotion of health, education, investment and trade.
He said that Pakistan will further strengthen brotherly relations with Tajikistan, we have to set targets on an annual basis to increase trade volume.
The Prime Minister said that goods are being transported to Afghanistan, Tajikistan through Karachi port, he wants rail and road network to be connected between Pakistan and Tajikistan.
Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistan and Tajikistan are affected by terrorism, we have been facing the scourge of terrorism for a long time. We succeeded but unfortunately now this scourge is resurfacing, we are determined to eradicate terrorism.
He further said that he wants Pakistan and Tajikistan to work together to end terrorism, without which there can be no prosperity in the region.
