NADRA approves CRVS system designed for Somalia
A high-level delegation from Somalia visited NADRA headquarters.
The delegation was led by the Director General of the National Identification and Registration Authority of Somalia (NIRA), Mr. Abdi Wali Ali Abdullah, and included the teams of the Ministry of Interior, Foreign Affairs and Reconciliation, Civil Registration Directorate, Mr. Abdul Ghani Muhammad Wihlaye, and the teams of the Ministry of Interior and the National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA). were
NADRA is NERA's technical partner for Somalia's national identity system. This project is part of the financial and technical assistance given by the Government of Pakistan to the Government of Somalia. During the visit, approval (FAT) of the CRVS system developed by NADRA for Somalia was given and future cooperation was discussed.
Abdi Wali Ali Abdullah appreciated the excellent capabilities of NADRA in the areas of software development and training. The delegation expressed keen interest in the product developed by NADRA in collaboration with NRTC for biometric enrollment and data verification.
Chairman NADRA, Lt. Gen. Muhammad Munir Afsar welcomed the delegation, highlighted the importance of bilateral relations and described them as beneficial for both countries.
The delegation visited various sectors of NADRA and paid tribute to NADRA for assisting Somalia in the registration of citizens and related projects. A joint inauguration ceremony of the CVRS system will be held in Somalia very soon.
