Jamaat-e-Islami sit-in enters sixth day, announcement of sit-in in Karachi from today
Jamaat-e-Islami's dharna in Rawalpindi's Liaquat Bagh has entered its sixth day for the reduction of electricity prices.
The second round of talks between Jamaat-e-Islami and the government will be held at 3 pm today.
Addressing the sit-in, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has said that paying the electricity bill has now become impossible for 98 percent of the people.
He said that the people should pay the electricity bill or teach the children in schools? They are going to start a sit-in in Karachi today, a sit-in in Lahore will also be announced soon.
Hafiz Naeem said that the business community is with us, with his advice we will go on a nationwide wheel jam strike.
