200 posts up to Grade 22 have been abolished in the National Assembly Secretariat following an investigation into alleged illegal recruitments and promotions.
Informed sources told The News that 200 out of 1700 posts in the National Assembly Secretariat are being eliminated.
According to sources, many illegal recruitments and promotions made in recent years including 3 posts of Grade 22 have been scrapped, leaving only 10 posts of Grade 21 in the Secretariat.
A grade 22 secretary has resigned after an investigation into alleged illegal recruitments and promotions in the National Assembly Secretariat, while a show-cause notice has been issued to an additional secretary.
According to a report by Jang and The News editor Investigation Ansar Abbasi, the two government officials are accused of allegedly manipulating records, misleading higher officials and cheating the Finance Committee.
