55 years since the first man stepped on the moon




International Moon Day is being celebrated all over the world today.

This day marks the anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission, 55 years ago today on July 20, 1969, when American astronaut Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon.

In 2021, the United Nations General Assembly declared July 20 as International Moon Day.

On this occasion, the United Nations has also released 6 commemorative postage stamps.

The Director of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) has emphasized on this occasion the growing global interest in the exploration of the Moon.

In this regard, the American space research agency NASA has also posted a commemorative photo of Neil Armstrong walking on the moon on his social media account and also wrote his message to the earth.
