Wants relations with US on the principle of mutual trust and non-interference in internal affairs: Pakistan
ISLAMABAD: Spokesperson of the Foreign Office has termed the resolution regarding Pakistan in the US Congress as regrettable and said that Pakistan wants to have relations with the US on the principles of mutual trust and non-interference in each other's internal affairs.
While giving a weekly briefing in Islamabad, the spokesperson of the Foreign Office said that Ishaq Dar, in the Institute of Strategic Studies, explained the important points of foreign policy this week, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized on promoting strategic relations with China, while the Deputy The Prime Minister also expressed concern over the ongoing conflicts in Palestine and Kashmir.
Spokesperson of the Foreign Office said that the resolution by the US House of Representatives is an unnecessary interference in the internal affairs of Pakistan. Pakistan wants to maintain relations with the US on the principles of mutual trust and non-interference in each other's internal affairs.
Mumtaz Zahra further said that the relationship between Pakistan and America spans a long period of time, the US Congress should work for the strengthening of Pakistan-US relations, Pakistan has informed the US of its serious concerns. It is very sad that the US Congress passed this resolution, which was also briefed by Pakistan to the US.
Talking about Occupied Kashmir, the spokesman said that Pakistan is concerned about the non-provision of democratic rights of the people in Indian Occupied Kashmir.
