The World Bank has approved $150 million to improve the primary health sector in Sri Lanka. According to Xinhua, the World Bank said the project will help improve the quality of care and increase the use of primary health care facilities, which provide essential health services to local communities.
The previous project, supported by the World Bank, has already expanded 550 primary health care facilities with essential equipment, medicines, health workers and basic laboratory testing facilities. 100% primary centers in the districts will increase these efforts to improve health.
