The President approved the Federal Budget 2024-25
President Asif Ali Zardari has approved the Federal Budget 2024-25 and has signed the Finance Bill.
The President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari has signed the Finance Bill along with which the Federal Budget 2024-25 has been approved by the President.
A copy of the bill signed by the President has been received by the National Assembly Secretariat and the budget will come into effect from July 1 (Monday).
It should be noted that the federal budget was presented on June 22 this month and Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb presented a budget worth more than 8 thousand billion.
The debate on the budget continued for more than three weeks and all members participated in it. Leader of the opposition Umar Ayub called the budget as a killer budget for the poor, but two days ago the House approved the budget by majority vote.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif had said before approving the budget that he had made the budget together with the IMF out of necessity.
