Prime Minister's order to immediately terminate the Public Works Department
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif ordered the immediate dissolution of the Public Works Department (PWD).
Talking to daily Jang, the Prime Minister emphasized on ensuring the protection of the interests of the employees of Mahmke and said that they cannot afford to bear the burden of institutions that harm the country's exchequer.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that the ongoing projects under PWD will be completed by the relevant federal and provincial institutions, the services of private companies of international standards will be taken for government construction and repair.
Shehbaz Sharif said that the budget with the IMF is a work of jeopardy, on the one hand there is pressure from the International Financial Institution and on the other hand public expectations, the financial fund was asking to impose taxes on agriculture and fertilizers, he agreed to these matters.
