Provision of medical services to 13 million pilgrims, the announcement of the success of the health management of the Saudi government
The success of the health arrangements during the Hajj was announced by the Saudi government.
Saudi Health Minister Fahd Al-Jalajil has said that during the same Hajj season, more than 1.3 million medical services were provided, more than 465,000 special treatment services were provided under the health system, however, 141,000 people who did not receive official permission Health facilities were also provided.
The Saudi Health Minister has stated that with a total of 30,000 ambulances and 95 air ambulances, provision of health services was ensured and about 6,500 beds and rooms were available under the health system.
The Minister of Health, explaining about the deaths, said that the number of deaths reached 1,301 this year and 83 percent of the deceased were not authorized to perform Hajj, most of the deceased were traveling long distances without proper shelter and in the hot sun. The dead include many elderly and chronically ill people.
He said that the heartfelt condolences of the Saudi government are with their families, may Allah accept their actions, the identification of the deceased has been completed and the families have been informed, while despite the initial lack of identification documents, identification, Appropriate procedures were followed for providing burial, and death certificates.
The health minister further said that the health protocol effectively reduced heat stress, this success was made possible by the coordinated efforts of the health system and the Haj security forces. Several cases of heat stress were resolved this year, some People are still undergoing treatment.
Health services included open heart surgeries, cardiac catheterization, dialysis, and emergency care.
