Iran reacted to the controversial US resolution on Pakistan elections

Iran has condemned the controversial US House of Representatives resolution on Pakistan's general elections.

The Iranian ambassador to Pakistan, Raza Amiri Moghaddam, said in his statement that modern ignorance also includes that a country blocks the ceasefire resolution by veto and that country supports genocide by providing deadly weapons to the Zionist regime.

The Iranian ambassador said that the Congress of this country passes the resolution, which creates a question mark throughout the country, the resolution is an open interference in the domestic affairs of an independent member of the United Nations.

Raza Amiri Moghadam further said that the Congress resolution is a form of extortion under the guise of supporting democracy.

A few days ago, the Republican Richard McCormick and the member of the Congress Dan Kaldi presented a resolution in the House of Representatives, in which five points were approved, in addition to the support of democracy, the protection of human rights, freedom of expression and the people's participation in the democratic process. This includes ensuring participation.

The resolution asked the US president and the secretary of state to work with the government of Pakistan to ensure democracy, human rights and the rule of law.

The resolution urged the government of Pakistan to uphold democratic institutions, human rights and the rule of law, and to respect the fundamental rights of the Pakistani people to freedom of the press, freedom of assembly and freedom of expression.

Yesterday, the resolution against the American resolution was passed by majority vote in the National Assembly. The resolution said that the House is taking note of the resolution passed by the US House of Representatives, Pakistan is following the international principles of democracy in accordance with the spirit of the Constitution, Pakistan reiterates its determination to uphold the basic human rights listed in the Constitution.

It said that it will protect the principles according to the aspirations and vision of the people, reiterates Pakistan's determination to build a strong and stable democratic society, the US resolution is clearly the result of a misunderstanding of Pakistan's electoral process. .

According to the text, the American resolution does not recognize the use of voting rights in Pakistan's elections, as a sovereign country, Pakistan will not accept interference in its internal affairs. The US Congress should play a constructive role in strengthening Pakistan-US relations.

The resolution said that the kind of interference in our country is inappropriate, it does not allow anyone to interfere in the affairs of other countries, interference in our internal affairs is not acceptable.

Member Shaista Pervez Malik, who presented the resolution in the assembly, expressed her opinion and said that human rights violations are happening in the world, which I condemn, the attitude of the opposition is regrettable.

He said that millions of Pakistanis voted in the elections of Pakistan, unfortunately the opposition is encouraging those who interfere in the internal affairs of the country.

The member of the assembly had said that it is a question of the sovereignty of your country. The House passed the resolution moved by Shaista Pervez Malik by majority vote.
