India is giving arms to Israel in Gaza war for support in Kargil war: Claims of former Israeli ambassador
India is now supplying arms to Israel for the Gaza war, on Israel's support in the 1999 Kargil war.
This claim was made by Daniel Carmon, a former ambassador of Israel who has also been stationed in India.
In an interview given to Israeli media, Daniel Carmon said that Israel was one of the few countries that supplied arms to India during the Kargil war.
Daniel Carmon, who served as the Israeli ambassador to India from 2014 to 2018, said that 'Indians always reminded us that Israel was with us during the Kargil war, Indians can never forget that and Now they are possibly returning the favor'.
The former Israeli ambassador's statement came after various reports claimed that India has supplied drones and ammunition to Israel for the Gaza war.
In February 2024, media reports stated that India had delivered 20 state-of-the-art Hermes 900 drones to Israel.
These drones were manufactured in Hyderabad Deccan factory and this factory was established by Israel itself.
According to Israeli media, in May, Spain intercepted a cargo ship traveling from India to Israel.
The ship was carrying 27 tons of military supplies.
These reports have not been confirmed by the Indian government and no response has been issued to the statement of the former Israeli ambassador.
