Rawalkot: A letter written on May 30 on the unsatisfactory security of Azad Kashmir's Rawalkot Jail has come to light.

According to details, in a letter written by the Home Department to the High Court regarding the unsatisfactory security of the Rawalkot Jail on May 30, the jail security was described as extremely insecure.

In the letter, it was said that the prison security is very unsafe, the building is dilapidated and old, the accused of terrorism, Ghazi Shahzad, Mohammad Ayaz, Taimur Mumtaz are imprisoned in the jail.

It was written in the letter that there are terrorism cases against these accused in Rawalpindi and Palindri, the jail is not capable of keeping such accused, these accused are devious, dangerous and intelligent who can plan to escape.

According to the letter, there is no security wall outside the jail building, the busiest highway of the city also passes outside the jail.

The letter was written by the Home Department to the Azad Kashmir High Court, the letter also recommended the transfer of the accused to another jail.

It should be noted that yesterday, 20 prisoners escaped from the district jail in Rawalkot city by taking a policeman hostage, one prisoner was killed in the exchange of fire, the escapees include very dangerous prisoners, police officials said. That the fugitives include mostly death row inmates, who have been cordoned off around the city to be recaptured.
