According to Arab media reports, the draw for the third stage of the Asian qualifying round of the FIFA World Cup 2026 will be held on June 27 in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, this was announced by the Asian Football Federation.

According to the reports, the 18 teams that reached the third round have been divided into six categories according to the latest classification of the world football organization (FIFA), Japan, Iran, South Korea in the first category, Australia in the second category, Qatar, Iraq, the third category includes Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, and Jordan.

The fourth category includes the Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, the fifth category includes China, Palestine, Kyrgyzstan, and the sixth category includes North Korea, Indonesia and Kuwait.

The third round will be held between September 2024 and June 2025. The 18 teams will be divided into three groups, with six teams in each group. Cup will qualify for 2026, the World Cup will be held in America, Canada and Mexico.

It should be noted that the teams of Palestine, Indonesia and Kyrgyzstan have reached the third stage of the qualifying round for the first time, the three teams have also ensured their participation in the Football Asia Cup in Saudi Arabia in 2027.
