The real marriage in the play? A new debate broke out

A video of a program of a private TV channel is going viral on social media, in which a religious scholar is seen taking the stand that the marriage and divorce of boys and girls who act as husband and wife in dramas actually take place.

This video, currently circulating on all social media platforms, has sparked a new debate. It can be seen in the video that a question is being discussed that in the play, if the husband and wife actually say divorce while speaking the dialogue, then the divorce actually takes place even though it was not the intention. So will this situation remain the same in marriage?

In response, the religious scholars answer that 'yes, divorce will be done in the presence of two witnesses if two people agree and accept each other according to Sharia, even if they are joking.'

A strong reaction was seen from the Pakistani drama industry on this debate. Actor Ali Abbas wrote in one of his tweets that 'I have just counted, according to which I have performed 97 marriages, where are my wives?'

Similarly, actress Yashma Gill reacted that 'I don't even remember who I said yes to first, who is my real husband? Astaghfirullah. Actress Ishna Shah said that the time has come to have a strange conversation with her husband on this issue.

Actress Anusha Ashraf tweeted that "Instead of making religion the true path to freedom, spiritual existence, here our educated scholars/scholars are discussing topics that make religion strict and restrictive."
