Bread price fixed at Rs 16 across Punjab

In order to provide relief to the people in the rising inflation, the Punjab government reduced the price of bread by four rupees and fixed the new price at 16 rupees.

Deputy Commissioner Rafia Haider has said that the notification of the new price of bread and naan has been issued in Lahore. According to the spokesman DC Lahore, the price of bread has been set at Rs 16 and the price of naan is Rs 20. The price of bread and naan will be applied immediately in the provincial capital.



Earlier, on the orders of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the price of bread has been fixed at Rs 16. Across the province, after a decrease of Rs.4, the price of bread has reduced from Rs.20 to Rs.16.

Chief Minister Punjab had directed the authorities to ensure the sale of bread at Rs 16 across Punjab and to strictly implement the decision.

It should be remembered that yesterday Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz had issued orders to reduce the price of bread after the reduction in the price of flour.

On behalf of Maryam Nawaz, the district administration was entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring the reduction in the price of bread.
