The imam of the mosque was killed by shooting in the American state of New Jersey
Imam was shot and killed outside the mosque in America.
According to foreign media, this incident took place in the American state of New Jersey, where Imam Hassan Sharif was shot in front of the mosque while Muhammad was leaving the mosque.
On the incident, the Attorney General of the state said that Imam Hasan Sharif was hit by multiple bullets, on which he was taken to the hospital for immediate medical assistance, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and died in the hospital. The Attorney General said that an investigation is being conducted to find out the reasons for firing and evidence has also been collected from the crime scene.
The Attorney General further said that the motive for killing the Imam is currently unknown, but the preliminary investigation shows that it is not an incident of prejudice or terrorism.
He further said that because of the war between Israel and Palestine, bigotry, Islamophobia and anti-Semitism have taken place among the communities in America, while more than 300,000 Muslims live in this state.
