PTI withdraws its plea in Supreme Court regarding election symbol of bat.
A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa heard the Supreme Court dismissed the petition on the grounds of PTI's withdrawal.
Lawyer PTI Barrister Gohar Khan requested the court that we want to withdraw the application, the Chief Justice asked Barrister Gohar who are you?
Barrister Gohar replied that I am the lawyer of the petitioner, the Chief Justice said that Hamid Khan said the day before yesterday that he is a lawyer, on that occasion Hamid Khan said that our case is in the Peshawar High Court.
On this occasion, the Chief Justice said that you did not stand up, you are not a lawyer in this case? Hamid Khan replied that no, I am not a lawyer in this case.
The Chief Justice said that if someone comes tomorrow and claims that we did not return the application, then what? The Chief Justice further said that where is Ali Zafar, he has no objection to withdrawing the application? Hamid Khan replied that no, he has no objection, he is currently Peshawar High Court.
Tehreek-e-Insaf's lawyer, Barrister Gauhar, while talking to the media outside the Supreme Court, said that the case related to the election symbol of bat is going on in the Peshawar High Court.
Our application in the Supreme Court was ineffective, he said that we hope the decision of the Peshawar High Court will be in our favor.
